News in brief

The last few months have been a busy period for the orchestra. We have performed two concerts and our ensembles and bands have had a full schedule of Christmas events. You can read more about that in Christine Deeley’s article in this issue.
We have another orchestral concert in March which will feature the Tchaikovsky violin concerto performed by violinist, Katie Mazur.
The Rickmansworth Young Musician of the Year competition is well under way with 34 entries this year. The concert final will take place on Sunday 17th March, where the top eight young musicians will compete for the title.
